The leadership journey of Ben Richardson & Mike Bott

When LHi Group announced last month that Mike Bott and Ben Richardson would become our new Co-CEOs, it marked more than a leadership transition, it was a celebration of two careers that have grown in parallel with the business itself, and a clear signal of what’s to come.

In this first interview with Mike and Ben, they reflect on their journey so far and the impact they hope to have on LHi in the future.

Why co-CEOs?

Appointing Co-CEOs isn’t a traditional move, particularly within the recruitment industry. But for LHi, it was the right one.

 
Mike and Ben’s complementary skillsets mean that the business gains two leaders who bring different strengths to the table: commercial strategy, operational excellence, and people-first culture. With Ben based in the US and Mike in Europe, they also offer round-the-clock global coverage, something few businesses in our space can match.

 
In the video, Mike notes that they’ve been working side by side for 14 years, and that their dynamic brings both approachability and clarity to the role. “We trust each other implicitly,” he shares, “and we know how to lean on each other when it counts.”
