At LHi Group, we’re all about embracing adventure, both at work and in life. That’s why, after five years with us, our LHi’ers earn the coveted LHi Passport, allowing them to experience a week at any of our global offices.

It’s a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture, meet colleagues from all corners of the globe, and expand your horizons.

In line with our identity statement, “We are adventurous,” this benefit is all about exploring, connecting, and stepping out of your comfort zone. In this series, we’ll hear from those who have recently used their LHi Passport, sharing their experiences and the impact it’s had on them.

This time, we’re hearing from our very own  Jordan Sekhri, Marketing Innovation & Commercial Projects Lead:

Which global office did you choose for your LHi Passport trip, and why?

I chose our Austin office for my LHi Passport trip. I’d heard amazing things about the city, and with our team there growing rapidly, it felt like the perfect opportunity to visit, meet the people in person, and experience the culture first-hand. Plus, who wouldn’t want to enjoy some Texas BBQ and sunshine?

How was your experience? What were your thoughts on that particular office?

The experience was incredible! The Austin team couldn’t have been more welcoming, from the moment I arrived, they made me feel like part of the family. The energy in the office is electric, and you can tell there’s a real sense of camaraderie and ambition. They have a great setup, a strong team culture, and of course, being in Austin means they’re surrounded by an exciting and growing market.

Could you share some details about what you did during your time there?

Absolutely! Beyond spending time in the office and getting to know the team, I made the most of what Austin had to offer. Some highlights included:

  • Eating my way through the city… BBQ at Terry Black’s, tacos, Chick-fil-A, and of course, some classic American pancakes.
  • Kayaking to Bat Bridge to watch thousands of bats emerge at sunset, such a unique experience!
  • Competing at pitch and putt with Tom Cooper and Matt Copeland (let’s just say it was competitive!).
  • Exploring Austin’s nightlife, Latchkey and Lucky Duck quickly became favourites.
  • Scootering around the city to take in the sights.
  • Watching Leeds United beat Millwall with the LUFC ATX Fan Club!
  • And to top it all off, being the unexpected subject of the Friday sales meeting, where teams battled it out in the ‘Who the F*ck is Jordan Sekhri’ game Jack had put together!

What was the most memorable moment of your experience?

There were so many great moments, but the Friday sales meeting game was definitely a standout. Seeing the team having a laugh while trying to figure out facts about me was brilliant, and really summed up the welcoming, fun, and competitive spirit of the Austin office!

What’s your top tip that you would give someone preparing for their own LHi Passport adventure?

Say yes to everything! Whether it’s team activities, trying new food, or exploring the city, make the most of every moment. Also, connect with as many people as possible, it’s a great way to strengthen relationships across the business and truly experience what makes each LHi office unique.

Austin, I’ll be back!
